Steve is the creative director and publisher of a popular Web site and CD about advertising. He also conducts seminars on a variety of advertising topics.

The CD-ROM version of AdCracker is used in over 90 countries at ad agencies, Fortune 500 firms, and design shops for training and concept development.

Steve conceived, wrote and designed the entire project, both CD and Web versions. He is the copyright holder of record.

Steve was the CD of the online vehicle finance group. With 3 billion dollars in annual business COAF is the largest direct-to-consumer vehicle lender in America.

Steve directed two creative teams responsible for all direct marketing and brand advertising. Typical mediums include print ads, posters, email, direct mail, and Web advertising.

> Steve’s first initiative was to create a campaign to project the firm’s “people friendly” brand personality, and to position the company as “America’s largest online vehicle lender.”

> He simultaneously initiated a training program that demonstrably improved the quality of creative concepts produced by his team.

> Steve mastered Capital One's highly regarded performance management system, successfully increasing the overall performance ratings of the creative group in an extremely competitive environment.

> He reconfigured working teams within his department and implemented a trafficking system that more than doubled creative output. The creative team also attained 100% on-time project delivery.

Steve supervised three creative groups, working with a total agency staff of around 175. He spearheaded creative development for major new business pitches, and won 10 of 10, including Garuda Airlines, WizOffice.com, and Lippo Investments. As a result Matari rocketed from 23rd to third in billings nationwide.

5/1997 - 5/1998.
A start-up ad agency affiliated with the Omnicom Group, Interact became a casualty of the Asian financial crises. Steve left during the riots and economic chaos surrounding the downfall of the Suharto government.

12/1993 - 4/1997.
Steve’s primary clients were IBM, then Citibank and HongKong Telecom. Others included NBC Asia, Shell, Rolex, Motorola and Ford. He created integrated campaigns that blended branding with direct marketing, across many mediums: TV, Print, and interactive. Steve led creative development on the first advertising campaign in Asia to include a Web site. He won several awards while at JWT, as well as winning the regional creative competition during the launch of “Thompson total branding.”
